A
recently constructed mud brick dwelling using
local timbers, the bunkhouse
has very high thermal mass by virtue of its 10’’(250
mm) thick walls. Hence it is pleasantly cool
in summer and warm in winter.
Solar powered with
a 240 volt inverter and backup generator, the
house is fully self contained and features four
bedrooms, two bathrooms and one large living,
kitchen and dining area.
A large table seats 12
with a gas stove, sink, refrigerator and cupboards
in the kitchenette.

The
two front rooms face northeast, are fitted with
queen beds and offer stunning views
of the wilderness.
Two double bunks are offered
in each of the two remaining bedrooms.

A slow
combustion wood heater provides warmth on cold
winter nights.
(Your hosts will always ensure adequate
wood is on hand)
Abundant rain
water is available for showers with instant gas
heating and pressurised by solar powered pump.
This water is also suitable for drinking.
Two bathrooms
are provided with separate vanities and toilets.

Wide verandahs:
At the rear for storage of extra equipment and at
the front for evening meals on the balcony if desired.
